About Dom
Dom was born and raised in the western suburbs of Melbourne to hard-working Italian immigrants. He learnt the value of hard work, family, and food!
During his younger years, he played and umpired footy, was an Australian Army reservist and worked at Myer - Highpoint, all while paying for his own university degree upfront.
Dom completed his Bachelor of Applied Science (Mathematics and Computer Science) in 1998 and also completed a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance and Investment in 2006.

Dom and his wife moved to the Macedon Ranges in 2006 and raised their 3 children (now between 15 and 21) who all became involved in local sports, and have worked and volunteered locally. From the local pony club, football/netball clubs, to the local Gisborne SES unit.
Dom was successfully elected in 2020 as a Councillor for the Macedon Ranges Shire Council and was re-elected in 2024 including 1 year in the Mayoral role.
Dom is currently on unpaid leave from his Councillor role whilst campaigning as an Independent Candidate for the 2026 State Election.
Dom strongly believes in the community voice and importantly has worked with different community views along the way. Over the past 6 years as a Councillor and Mayor, he is proud of his achievements representing the community. Some of which include:
Improvements to Telecommunications locally and across the Macedon Ranges shire
Collaborated with Federal Liberal candidate at the time, Richard Welch, to allocate $15m to Stage 2 of the Macedon Ranges Regional Sports Precinct project through the Priority Community Infrastructure Program delivering expansion of the venue to feature three additional multi-use indoor courts, four gender-neutral changerooms, a second natural turf oval, and dedicated outdoor netball courts:
